About Syros

Syros is the capital of the Cycladic Islands and serves as their administrative and cultural hub. Unlike many of its neighbors, it has a strong year-round population, which gives the island a grounded, lived-in feel. Life here moves at a slower pace, but without the sense of isolation that can come with smaller islands.

The main town, Ermoupoli, is known for its neoclassical architecture, shaped by the island’s economic growth in the 19th century. The harbor remains the heart of daily life, where cafés, markets, and public spaces blend naturally into everyday routines. Above Ermoupoli sits Ano Syros, a medieval settlement that reflects the island’s earlier history and offers wide views across the Aegean.

Beyond the city, the landscape opens into small villages, rolling hills, and a rugged coastline. Syros hosts cultural events throughout the year and has a long tradition of music, art, and craftsmanship. Its beaches are modest and approachable, favoring simplicity over spectacle. Overall, Syros offers a sense of balance—connected and culturally rich, while remaining well suited for longer stays and quieter, more reflective experiences..

How to get there: Syros can be reached either by air or by boat.

About Delfini Beach

Delfini Beach takes its name from the Greek word Delfini, meaning dolphin. It is located along the northern shore of Syros away from crowds and commercial activity. The landscape is open and uncluttered with clear water and a calm spacious feel. Delfini Beach offers a relaxed respectful atmosphere, with one end near the property where bathing suits are optional for those who prefer greater privacy and freedom. A short walk of approximately 100 meters along the shore brings you to the livelier stretch of the beach where beach bars, sun beds and umbrellas are available creating an easy balance between seclusion and simple seaside

The beach is close enough to Ermoupoli to feel connected to the island’s daily life while still offering a sense of distance and retreat. The map above shows the location of Delfini Beach and its relationship to the surrounding area.
